In this long walk you will get to know in depth palaces, private houses and public baths from the 11th to the 15th century.

What does the visit consist of?

This visit consists of a guided tour of two and a half hours through the historical centre of the Albaicin and Granada. The itinerary is designed to get you to know the main Hispano-Muslim homes and the customs of those who lived there.

What do we propose on this visit?

You will get to know in depth palaces, private houses and public baths from the 11th to the 15th century.

In this visit we want you to learn to recognize the main differences of the artistic and cultural periods of the Hispanic-Muslim heritage. This is the best way to know and understand the life and development of a whole society. To do this we will use personalities with names and surnames and you will feel like you are inside a film anchored in time.

The Dobla de Oro is a project led by the Alhambra Board and the Granada City Council. It aims to revalue and strengthen the visibility of certain monuments that are as old as or even older than the Alhambra.

What will you visit?

We’ll start the tour in the Plaza de San Miguel bajo, ando go on to visit the Dal al-Horra Palace. We will walk through the enclosure of the Alcazaba Qadima or Alcazaba Vieja until we reach the Mirador de San Nicolás. We will descend to the Palace Casa del Chapiz and the Casa Horno del Oro, arriving at the Paseo de los Tristes. We will make a brief stop at the Bañuelo to finish at the Corral del Carbón.

MEETING POINT  Plaza de San Miguel Bajo, next to the Bus stop.
